Fall 2024

Charleston Classical Guitar is one of the only studios in Charleston to offer guitar classes. The studio is presenting an Adult Beginner Guitar Class, an Elementary School Beginning Guitar Class, and a Middle School Beginning Guitar Class this fall. There is a minimum and maximum amount of students for each class. Rooms need to be rented and teachers need to be paid. Also, there is a small materials fee for each class. Below each class description, you will find a list of necessary items needed before beginning.

Adult Beginning Guitar Class

Start Date: Sept. 24, 2024
End Date: Dec. 17, 2024
Number of Sessions: 12 (Off the week of Nov. 25)
Day/Time: Tuesdays 7-8 pm
Costs: $240 (plus $15 materials fee*)
Minimum/Maximum Participants: 6/10

Description: This 12-week course provides adult beginning guitar students the foundation to start playing! Students will learn the guitar parts, the strings’ names, tuning, and strumming/picking techniques. The class explores the basics of music theory through music notation, notes in the first position, chords, rhythms, and songs.

Middle School Beginning Guitar Class

Start Date: Sept. 26, 2024
End Date: Dec. 19, 2024
Number of Sessions: 12 (Off the week of Nov. 25)
Day/Time: Thursdays 6:30-7:30 pm
Costs: $240 (plus $15 materials fee*)
Minimum/Maximum Participants: 6/10

Description: This 12-week course provides middle school-age students the foundation to start playing! Students will learn the guitar parts, the strings’ names, tuning, and strumming/picking techniques. The class explores the basics of music theory through music notation, notes in the first position, chords, rhythms, and songs.

Elementary School Beginning Guitar Class

Costs: $240 (plus $15 materials fee*)
Minimum/Maximum Participants: 6/10

Description: This 12-week course provides elementary school-age students the foundation to start playing! Students will learn the guitar parts, the strings’ names, and tuning, and begin playing songs. The class explores the basics of music theory through music notation, notes in the first position, rhythms, and songs.

• A 1/2 or 3/4 size guitar in working condition

Over 55 Beginning Guitar Class

Day/Time: Mondays 11:00 am – 12:00 pm

Students will learn the guitar parts, the strings’ names, tuning, and strumming/picking techniques. The class explores the basics of music theory through music notation, notes in the first position, chords, rhythms, and songs.

Homeschool Beginning Guitar Class

Guitar Classes Instrument Rentals

I have a limited number of guitars available for rent for the weeks of the course. Rental fees are $20/month equaling $60 for the 12-week courses. You will need to provide a valid ID and credit card for the rental.
